Rathinam Institutions and IT Parks have signed a special Memorandum of Agreement on 7th February 2019 with IIT-Madras and Government of Tamil Nadu raised Centre for Urbanization, Buildings and Environment, one of a kind Center of Excellence in the country to address the challenges in the Urban Development and Built Environment. The focussed vision of this collaboration is to jointly extend technical expertise to create better solutions addressing challenges in Urban Development and to augment the outcomes of Smart Cities Projects. This includes bridging technology gaps, development and deployment of innovative technologies and policy-based solutions, and acting as an enabler in leading edge technology transfer from across the globe towards the evolution of Urban Cities. This exclusive coalition addresses key areas of Urban Development and Smart Cities Mission such as, detailed consultancy and planning services for Water supply, Renewable energy, Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, Urban Mobility, NMT and Public Transport, Affordable Housing, ICT and Digitalization, E-Governance, Participatory Planning & Outreach Programs, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Design, Water Body Restoration / Rehabilitation, Sustainability and others. Further, it creates efficient platform for capacity building, knowledge management and dissemination of various technologies for Smart Cities through constant training programmes by involving eminent sector specific technical experts. This distinctive Memorandum of Agreement for collaboration is officially signed and released by Dr.Madan A Sendhil, Chairman, Rathinam Group of Institutions and Retd.Maj.Gen. Mr.L.Padmanaban, CEO, CUBE – IITM at CUBE-IITM Research Center, Chennai in the presence of key delegates from both the institutions.
